Charity Work 23/24
Please see below the charity work from this school year, 2023/2024
North Bristol Foodbank
Our Harvest festival saw the whole school family donate food items for North Bristol Foodbank.
Bristol Soup Run
This Christmas, the whole school family collected toiletries for the homeless in Bristol. The Bristol Soup Run collected and distributed these items for us. Please see below the announcement in our school newsletter.
Greenpeace Big Plastic Count
During Lent, St. Teresa's decided to stand in solidarity to support the national 'Big Plastic Count'. The children were all keen to serve their global community by completing this count and use their democratic right to have their voice heard.
By counting all the plastic that is thrown away for a week, everyone helped to gather vital evidence that Greenpeace can use to convince UK ministers, supermarkets and big brands to lead the way at global talks that could finally phase out plastic production for good.
Carol Singing
Each year, our school choir give the residents of Ash Lea Court Care Home the gift of their voices at Christmas.
Lent Fundraising
Our Chaplaincy team chose two charities to fundraise for this Lent. The international charity was: World Child Cancer. The local charity was: Help Bristol's Homeless.
Dress Down Day was chosen as our chaplaincy team wanted to be in solidarity with the homeless would may only have the clothes on their back to wear.
The House Coin Trail was the second fundraiser for Lent.
